Barcode grading

Real-time barcode grading ensures that barcodes meet reading and equipment standards to avoid issues on downstream processing systems. Frequently, inferior bar code quality isn't identified until after a job is complete and the only resolution is a costly reprint. JETVision provides grading of barcodes in real-time against ANSI standards for one- and two-dimensional barcodes alerting the operator as soon as barcodes drift out of tolerance. Acceptable threshold tolerances can be set to balance required quality and needed throughput.

Print alignment

This operation validates that items printed on the document or envelope are in the correct location. JETVision measures the horizontal and vertical dimensions of an item from a defined anchor point. If the dimensions drift out of tolerance the system warns the operator to take action.

Streak and void detection

This operation validates that all print heads are operating normally. High-speed printers can be prone to print heads clogging or jamming open resulting in quality issues. This operation validates that all print heads are operating normally by checking for streaks, smears or voids. Operators receive an on-screen warning when quality output drifts outside of acceptable thresholds. With real-time analysis of full documents, or specific areas of interest, any variances of quality can be instantly detected and costly rework can be minimized.

Color matching

Maintaining consistent color output that matches the defined specification is critical to operations incorporating color into their customer communications. The JETVision color matching module matches output to a defined color sample and provides a warning to the operator when the color drifts beyond the defined threshold.

This operation verifies that print heads are in alignment. To meet the high standards for quality print output, this module authenticates that all print heads are aligned and operating optimally at all times.
