The standards for controlling and managing inserter production has activities are either file-based or database driven. However implementing these solutions can be cost and process prohibitive when:
- A full-blown centralized ADF is the only option or
- Available technology only works with some of your equipment, and
- There are no alternatives for older systems or systems manufactured by certain vendors
These are just some of the reasons why we created the Database Package and the capabilities that allow all of the advanced functions often only found in the newer, costlier systems. The Database Package allows unique information to be read from an item and uses that information to automatically retrieve machine instructions from a database for each item in real time.
Data Indexing Module
This module tracks items, even when they do not follow the order of records in a control file. JETVision is able to validate items and recognize duplicates in real time without having to perform any additional preprocessing of the control file. Best of all, machines keep running when pieces are out of order, and job reconciliation can happen after a run.
Using multiple readers, JETVision can verify that every document that enters a system successfully exits the system. And with real-time exception processing, which includes late diverts and edge marking, stopping a system or providing instruction to the operator is also supported.
Data Sequencing Module
This module tracks items in the same order as records in a control file. If you have a control file for tracking items processed, and the control file matches the sequential order of items processed, you can use Data Sequencing to support real-time sequential lookups and force immediate accountability when an item is out of order or missing.
The Database Package:
- Supports all symbologies except Image Pattern
- Supports sequential indexing
- Supports automated report generation
