JETVision v6.00 brings many new features developed as a result of customer and industry feedback. Among the most anticipated enhancement is JETVision's new automated learning interface. In any document processing environment, the success of a machine-vision system is dependent on several factors beyond a manufacturer's control, ranging from incorrect lighting to poor print quality to simple human error. BÖWE Bell + Howell has dramatically increased JETVision's ability to handle variations between documents and the complexities of today's modern commercial print and mail operations. In addition, BÖWE Bell + Howell has enhanced JETVision's OCR capabilities to now read the specialized fonts that are used in the banking and financial industries. During beta testing of JETVision v6.00, one customer reported that the system was reading and matching returned personal checks in excess of 40 documents per second.
